How to Stabilize Edges and Sew a Bust Dart on Your Serger

Happy Holidays Everyone,   I love this time of year… I get to take time to sew gifts and maybe even make a few things for myself too!  I’m doing a Sew Along in my JSD Fitting and Pattern Perfection Group on Facebook.  If you haven’t joined us yet, we would love to have you!  This week I shared some tips for stabilizing the edges of the bodice and how to sew a bust dart on your serger.   Normally I do facebook live videos that are exclusive to the group… but I’m having “technical difficulty” with my stupid tripod and iphone.   So I decided to YouTube it.   This also gives me a chance to give you a peek at all the fun we have in the group! …If you have the New Anna Dress Pattern, there is a fit adjustment tutorial that will help with getting the bust dart in the right place.

I’m on a mission to finish at least two Anna Dresses for my daughter…Anna 🙂

  1. Hi, Jennifer. The serger dart is a great tip! I have a couple of knit top patterns with a dart and I’m going to try it out.
Funny thing – I never associated you with garment sewing and a blog. I’m used to seeing your embroidery articles in “Threads.” Glad I found your blog!

    1. Hi Kathy… I’m so happy you found me too! Thanks for following along 🙂
